Road to Ranger Journey of Ritik Agarwal

INTRODUCTION :

Hello everyone, Its my privilege to share my journey in front of you. My name is Ritik Agarwal. I just completed my Bachelors of Technology in Stream of Computer Science & Engineering from Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology. As a student I work on various technologies but i did not take it for long . I switch different technologies fast because I did not find my keen interest related to it. As we know work is like a worship, if you don’t enjoy your work you will not satisfy with yourself as well as happy. When I was in my starting 7th semester for the very first time I heard about Salesforce hands-on training program which was only for 5 days . I did not took much interest in it. I go for Redhat RHSCA Training. So for now that  Chapter is closed. But the destiny wanted me to go for salesforce ecosystem. During placements I got placed in multiple companies but out of which “Cloud Analogy” was actively working on Salesforce. My joining was late, so in December I took training on Node.js . I did not know about the single thing in Salesforce. Luckily in college I saw Salesforce is in boom #sfdcmiet . My dearest friend Aviral Agrawal is becoming brand in my college from Salesforce. There is a big community in college in which juniors are actively involved . I did not know about the power of salesforce ecosystem. Then I attended a seminar on Salesforce which is given by Aviral Agrawal. I got fascinate about ample number of career making opportunities and various technologies like IOT, AI, Einstein Analytics etc. in Salesforce and how Salesforce rises day by day . It would create an immense impact on my mind. So from know I prepare my mind to make a career in Salesforce. Then I talked to Aviral he motivates and guides me and give me the right path. Now I got placed in Mindtree who is Salesforce Platinum Partner . My interview is based on Salesforce but they provide me Cloud Computing and Devops. I wish they will give me Salesforce ASAP in Bhubaneshwar campus.

JOURNEY BEGINS :

I create an account on Trailhead and start learning , points and badges fascinate me to do more and more trailhead and gaining knowledge from it. Then I got opportunity in cloud analogy after 1.5 months. I keep learning new things and help to others . After completing one month internship I left my job because I do not want to do testing . Yet I did not enjoy making Google Sheets and GIF’s and video recording to capture bugs. But this joins me deeply in Salesforce Ecosystem. I keep on learning trailhead. After that I received a message from Mirketa as a Salesforce Developer. But Unfortunately they did not select a single person from my college. Those days was very low for me . My confidence level was so down . I left learning trailhead because of this disappointment .After somedays, Aviral Agrawal told me that there is any event in Salesforce Ohana which was held in Hyderabad. But the condition is one should be “Ranger” to attend this event. On this time I did not learn anything I only have 45-50 badges. I miss this opportunity but later on I knew that below 100 badges were also come on this event. I think luck was not by my side.

But I Never Give Up. I keep on learning from youtube videos and trailhead. After that I attended various events and meetups in Delhi & Noida. Meeting new peoples, getting good contacts is the only thing you get the right information about the market.

ROAD TO RANGER:

After couple of months , On learning trailhead and seeking knowledge from it . I become a “Salesforce Trailhead Ranger” .

Later on I became a member of Salesforce community. The community members , college and Group leader Aviral Agrawal organizes a 15 days festival “Salesforce Extravaganza” at MIET , which was scheduled from june1 to june 15. On the inauguration day, I made Beverage Application and win the App Builder contest among large number of people. I got my swags.

Later I was mentioned as a rockstar of sfdc_miet community.

TRAINING SESSIONS (SALESFORCE HANDSON):

I got an opportunity as a mentor to give 5 days hand-on training to my awesome juniors. We covered basics of Salesforce administration part and 4 industry projects and preparation of certificates. Glad to see that #sfdcmiet community works extremely well. The excitement of students was on the peak. Thanks to my team Aviral Agrawal and Saurabh Sharma who constantly works very hard for the community and manage things accordingly to the slots. Here’s the glimpse of the sessions.

SALESFORCE EXTRAVAGNAZA (BAM):

After completing 5 days hands-on training we provide the certificate of participation to each and every student and on the basis of performance and maximum tweets on twitter we selected 6 students for the Salesforce Certification Vouchers which was provided my Amanda Bauman. That made my day. Because I guess in India no one could get 6 certification vouchers. I am extremely happy that our community is strongest in the India . On the last day of Salesforce Extravagnaza I got the certificate of Appreciation and also got a Swag of actively shared my knowledge and skills to the community. #BAM

BENEFITS OF SALESFORCE ECOSYSTEM:

Now, let me tell you about the benefits of Salesforce. Salesforce provides you a best learning platform TRAILHEAD in which there are trails and modules for which you completed you gain points and badges. You know what badges and swags motivated people to do more trailheads , it is cool. But make sure you don’t have to learn only to gain points and badges. “Quality is more precious than quantity “. Always remember that.

If you are Non-IT background and wants to make your career in IT industry. Salesforce is the best option. As a above mentioned there are ample number of career opportunities in Salesforce and also you can make your application by points and clicks without single line of code and most importantly Trailhead is free of cost . In 2022, Salesforce Economy create 3.3 Million New jobs. Just Think about it. Salesforce rule the cloud market.

SALESFORCE COMMUNITY:

While learning Salesforce if you get stuck in between the problems you can drop a question on community you will get a reply for sure. World’s best community is Trailblazers Community. You can learn from sfdcpanther, sfdc99, tutorials.com, Sfdcamplified. There are so much content but the condition is, one must a constant learning attitude and have patience to solve trailheads. That’s it.
